Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus

Marathon E-Plus is the Plus formula rewritten for faster, heavier e-bikes. Bike Society recommends it when you want SmartGuard-level puncture resistance and an ECE-ready construction for assisted touring.

SmartGuard is Schwalbe’s thickest puncture belt. On an e-bike that belt is working harder: more speed, more load, more time at pressure.

The E-Plus carcass adds support so the tyre does not squirm when the motor is pulling on coarse chip or wet paint. That is the difference between a Plus tyre and an e-bike Plus tyre.

Reflex sidewalls and a touring tread keep it honest on shared paths. It is a heavier tyre — that is the trade for riding season after season without babysitting flats.
